The Caribbean Community (CARICOM) is pursuing an active programme of deepening integration in the Caribbean Region, particularly through the implementation of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME). The CSME officially entered into force on 1st January 2006. The Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas establishing the Caribbean Community including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy created binding commitments with respect to the free movement of goods and services, free movement of persons, free movement of capital and the right of establishment.
